Biometric Information Policy
LCS Onsite, operated by Lansky Center Solutions Inc. Version 1.0 · Effective [DATE] · DRAFT — pending counsel review
This policy explains the one place LCS Onsite uses biometric information: the automated check that your selfie matches the photo on your government ID.
What we collect
When you choose the automated LCS Onsite ID check, our servers measure the geometry of the face in your live selfies and in the photo on your ID document ("face geometry"), compare the two, and check that the selfies came from a live person. Those measurements, the similarity score they produce, and the images they were taken from are biometric information.
We do not collect fingerprints, voiceprints, iris or retina scans.
Why
Only to verify that you are the person named on the ID you submit, so the marketplace can be trusted to send real, identified technicians to client sites and to meet our identity and anti-money-laundering obligations. We do not use biometric information for anything else — not for marketing, not to identify you in other photos, and not to train models.
Who sees it
The comparison runs on LCS Onsite's own servers. The images are encrypted at rest. Members of our review team may look at the images if the automated check cannot decide. We never sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from biometric information, and we do not disclose it to anyone except service providers who host or process it for us under a written contract, or where the law requires it (for example a valid warrant or subpoena).
How long we keep it
Your ID images, selfies, the face measurements taken from them, and the similarity scores are destroyed within 90 days after the check is resolved — whether it passed, failed, was rejected, was cancelled, or was abandoned (an attempt left untouched for 7 days counts as abandoned) — and in any case no later than 3 years after your last interaction with LCS Onsite. The outcome of the check (verified or not, and when) is kept as part of your identity-verification record, without any biometric data.
Your choice
Giving this consent is voluntary. If you do not want automated face matching, choose "Send photos to our review team" instead: a person compares your ID and selfie by eye, and no face geometry is measured. It may take up to one business day.
You can withdraw consent by writing to privacy@lcsonsite.com. Withdrawing does not undo a check that already happened, but the destruction schedule above still applies.
