Acceptable Use Policy
OnSyra · Version 1.0 · DRAFT — requires counsel review
Forms part of the Terms of Service.
Everyone
Be who you say you are. One account per person or entity. No sharing credentials, no accounts on someone else's behalf, no impersonation.
Claim only qualifications you hold. Licences, certifications, insurance and experience must be real and current.
Deal honestly. No fake work orders, fake bids, fake reviews, or engagements between accounts you control to manufacture reputation or move money.
Keep it on-platform. Do not move a matched engagement off-platform to avoid
fees. See technician-agreement.md §9 for what this does and does not cover.
Respect confidentiality. Site access details, systems, floor plans and customer data stay within the engagement.
No harassment or discrimination on any protected characteristic, in messages, reviews, or selection decisions.
Do not attack the platform. No scraping beyond the partner API, no automated account creation, no probing, no interference with other users' access. Genuine security research is welcome — see below.
Technicians
- Take work you are qualified, licensed and equipped to do
- Turn up when you said you would, or give notice as early as possible
- Do not subcontract an engagement without the Client's agreement
- Follow site safety rules; refuse unsafe work — that is a right, not a breach
- Capture the required evidence honestly. Staging, reusing or altering photos is fraud.
- Log time actually worked
Clients
- Post work you intend to have done, at a rate you intend to pay
- Fund what you publish — do not dispatch technicians against money that is not there
- Describe scope, site conditions and access accurately
- Review submitted work within the window; do not sit on approval to delay payment
- Do not request work outside the agreed scope without amending the order and pay
- Provide a safe site and disclose known hazards
- Do not use a rework request to obtain extra work free
Service companies
- Every roster technician meets the technician standard
- Engage your technicians lawfully and pay them what you agreed
- Do not misrepresent roster size or capability
- Maintain insurance covering the roster
Prohibited work
Work that is illegal; work requiring a licence nobody on the engagement holds; work in an unsafe environment without proper controls; work involving weapons, controlled substances or hazardous materials without the required certification and permits; anything designed to circumvent safety, security or regulation.
Enforcement
Proportionate and escalating: warning → feature restriction → payout suspension → account suspension → permanent removal.
Immediate removal for confirmed fraud, falsified evidence, a confirmed sanctions match, or a serious safety incident.
We tell you what happened and how to appeal, unless legally prohibited. Appeals
under onboarding-screening-standards.md §4.
